Trim the wick to 1/4 inch to prevent the flame from becoming too high and ensure a clean, even burn.

Limit candle burning to no more than four consecutive hours.

To maintain safety, discontinue burning a candle when there's 1/2 inch of wax left in the container, and avoid burning it all the way down.
